音が紡ぐ言葉。

言葉がたずさえる音や色、光。

 

意味を持つ言葉と、言葉になる前の「響き」のあわいを行き来しながら、演奏、執筆、研究、教育、対話を通して、世界を名づけ直す旅を続けています。

 

日常を、あたらしい意味が生まれる場所として変容させること。

 

それが、わたしの表現と研究の根底にある願いです。　　

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

＜略歴＞

3歳よりピアノを始め、中学、高校では吹奏楽部にてバスクラリネット、クラリネットを担当。

1996年京都大学教育学部入学後は、同大ビックバンドに所属しデューク・エリントンを演奏。ジャズの世界に魅了される。この頃、市川芳枝氏に師事し、歌うこと、音楽だけではなく、その生き様に学ぶ。

2007年、ピアニスト・バリーハリス氏らを講師とするジャズワークショップ（山口県萩市）に参加。2013年にはベース奏者リチャード・デイヴィス氏に招かれ、同氏自宅に三ヶ月間ホームスティしながら、多くの学びを授かる。

現在は、演奏活動を行う一方、歴史研究と教育を通じて、言葉についての探求を続けている。

Art/Research/and Education

 

―Words spun from sound.  

 The sounds, colors, and light that words carry.  －

 

Moving back and forth between words that carry meaning and the 'resonance' before they become words, I continue the journey of renaming the world through performance, writing, research, education, and dialogue.  

 

Transforming everyday life into a place where new meanings are born.  

 

That is the wish at the core of my expression and research.

Started playing the piano at the age of three, and in junior high and high school, played bass clarinet and clarinet in the wind ensemble.  

 

After entering the Faculty of Education at Kyoto University in 1996, joined the university's big band and performed Duke Ellington, becoming fascinated with the world of jazz. Around this time, studied under Yoshie Ichikawa, learning not only about singing and music but also about her way of life.  

 

In 2007, participated in a jazz workshop in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, with pianist Barry Harris and others as instructors. In 2013, was invited by bassist Richard Davis to stay at his home for three months, receiving a great deal of learning during that time.  

 

Currently, while engaging in musical performances, I continue to explore language through historical research and education.
